Welcome to what passes for my website.

I keep on dreaming up grand sites, sites that would hold all my content in one place, sites that would be an ecyclopdia of my myriad interests. I keep on realizing that it's never going to happen, that I already have too many small sites, that I'll never put all of them on one page if only for design reasons.

So instead I have this: simply an index of what sites I have made, or half-made, or whatever. It's currently not spiffy; it will be in the future, once I get more stuff up here and finish quite a few sites which are currently in the works. I'm also horrible at completing things: there are several sites here which are partially present but not yet completed.

I'm somebody with too many interests and friends all over the place. Lots of different people have this URL--people who know me from real life, people who know me from online in all sorts of different places. You may well find something here which you didn't expect, which doesn't fit with your knowledge of who I am, whether you know me as Tory, M'lah, Arkady, or whatever. Just a general vague warning. :-)

An update today (12/30/03) for the first time in Forever (well, four months at least) to add the link to the page with links to my fanfic (phew!). Should be some more links added soon for more academic projects, but the Utena paper will have to wait until I'm done (arrrrgh!) and the 3D animations will have to wait until I import and compress them (fnooble). And then maybe I'll have time to make some pretty pages. *nods vigorously*

Complete

The Fanfiction: a page containing links to most of the fanfiction I have online. Very important page, as writing is my life. Not pretty yet, and I haven't gathered up all the tidbits and poetry, particularly in the Myst fandom, but it has content.

M'lah Sihfay's gallery: my old 3D gallery, reuploaded with few changes. A lot of this work is rather old, and some of it I'm close to disowning, but, quite frankly, there's nothing new to put up. I haven't gotten a project as far as presentable render stage in a while. Spairet is no longer being worked on; another world is, and I hope to get it presentable soon.

Pim's Tale: a somewhat odd final project for a natural philosophy course, a dual experiment in a different take on evolution and storytelling in HTML, javascript, and CSS. It's dysfunctional in any browser other than IE, and there's some code I really should go over at one point or another, but enough people have enjoyed it to justify leaving it lying around.

Escaflowne wallpapers: a crappy page thrown together to host a few desktop wallpapers I've made with images from one of my favorite anime series, Tenkuu no Escaflowne. Complete but, theoretically, growing.

The Poembook: zero design, barely any formatting. This is an experiment, a transcription of a notebook of poetry and musings I have started to keep. It is here; perhaps it shall grow, perhaps not; perhaps it is interesting, perhaps not.

Partially Complete

The Symbols of Narayan: the beginnings of a comprehensive analysis and speculation upon the only created pictographic language I know. Spoilers for Myst III: Exile in abundance here. This page will eventually be incorporated into the Narayani Collective, which is a page I'm working on to host a group of folks interested in Narayani culture and language.

Escaflowne 101: a page answering the question "what's an Escaflowne and why do you like it so much?" I made it back in the heyday of my Escaflowne obssession for my friends at MystCommunity, who were constantly wondering what the squee I was babbling about. It's missing a few images and proper information on the movie; no reason why I haven't finished it off other than my own laziness. Maybe embarassing myself by admitting this in my index will help.

Coming Soon

The Narayani Collective: afformentioned site for the informal Narayani cultural group I'm a member of. The link is simply to the "coming soon" splashpage; the URL will change to index.html rather than index2.html when I get the site going.

Dark Myst Vignettes: my Myst fanfiction page. The stories that will go there are complete but undergoing revision; the web design is done, but there is not a "coming soon" splashpage as there is with the Narayani Collective. I hope to have this up by the end of the summer.

There's a lot of other stuff in this directory. A truely vast amount of stuff. Some of which I should be getting rid of soon. But this is all that's currently worth linking to or mentioning.
